Leslie Alsheimer, author of Black and White in Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop Lightroom, is an award-winning photographer with a unique passion for creating images that parallel and interconnect her work as a social worker and her vision of the human spirit. As the founder and Director of the Santa Fe Digital Darkroom Customized Photography Workshops, instructor with the American Photo/Nikon Mentor Series and a member of the Adobe Beta Testing Team, Leslie travels around the country photographing people, and teaching photography, Photoshop and digital imaging workshops, as well as working with private clients as a creative imaging consultant, instructor, and trainer.

Recently honored as the 2008 recipient of the NAPP Photoshop GURU Awards with the Vincent Versace Award for Photographic Excellence, as well as awarded in the Center for Fine Art Photography & Society for Photographic Education recent exhibitions, Leslie's professional and personal work led work led her to initiate two non-profit organizations sharing photography around the world through donated cameras and imagery. Leslie's knowledge and expertise of both traditional and digital photographic darkroom techniques allows her to bring significant passion, experience and enthusiasm to all she does in this field.
